UNPLUGGED IN THE PARK HOTEL - 22 Feb 07

Although 2007 started a little late in the Park Hotel, the 22nd of Febuary saw one of the most surreal and collaborative evenings of music, poetry and costumery.

The night was totally dedicated to the open mic, giving everyone who had been busting to play some music during the winter a chance to play a decent set. Many of the regular performers were there as well as some new, and most welcome, ones.

Highlights of the evening include Miranda's poetry, which keeps getting better with every performance, 2 Rabbits comedy-acoustic-punk stylings, DJ Cheesy Rider's rocking tunes, Andy's cabaret singing, Jimmy's White Stripes and the pub-crawling Uni drama society dressed as fairies and in lederhosen. Dave got together with 2 of the fairies for a storming version of Mustang Sally, whilst Miranda, Fiona and Tony improvised some ska/blues with das drama soc yah! The crowd loved it so let's have more legendary performances like this.

I have no idea who the drama lot were but you're most welcome to come back (with or without costumes) and join us for more music and madness on Thurs 8 March.
