UNPLUGGED IN THE PARK HOTEL - 12 Oct 06

John Peel night was the most ambitious of the Unplugged nights so far. As well as the usual open stage antics, there were 2 DJs - Lala and Cheezy Rider - to play some classic tunes. And to top it off Black Cactus set up a host of cameras and technicians to record their tribute to John Peel.

I don't think I've laughed so hard as watching the barstaff trying to get to drinks behind Chris the cameraman who was stationed behind the bar and in front of the optics. Maybe I shouldn't have ordered so many cocktails at that point.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who played, Toby and Chris for doing the filming and editing, DJs Jamie, Lala and Cheezy Rider for their sets and finally to Herve for making the splendid John Peel backdrops.

The night was the first to be mentioned on Radio One on John Peel Day. Listen to the moment of glory
